The European Federation of Autonomic Societies (EFAS) is representing autonomic neuroscience in Europe.
The EFAS Annual Meeting 2018 will be held in conjunction with ICNMD2018. #ICNMD2018
The European Federation of Autonomic Societies (EFAS) was founded 1997. Since then it represents autonomic scientist throughout Europe and advocates scientific research and knowledge exchange.
The next meeting will be held in Vienna together with ICNMD on July 6th and 7th 2018 in Vienna. #EFAS2018
Autonomic nervous system (ANS) disorders are common and more and more recognized as important subspecialty of neurology. Detailed knowledge on this important field is rather sparse especially among junior neurologists. Until recently there was no structured education for ANS disorders in Europe. To provide a structured curriculum, the European Federation of Autonomic Societies (EFAS) initiated the EFAS School. This education is both theoretical as well as “hands-on” training. International leading experts teach and discuss clinical autonomic function disorders on a problem-oriented basis. Discussions are motivated during the course to stimulate interactivity.
The EFAS meeting presents clinically relevant topics in autonomic nervous system research. Leading experts of their field present elaborate new knowledge on peripheral autonomic neuropathies, neurodegeneration, cardiovascular autonomic failure, epilepsy, syncope, and fatigue in autonomic disorders. Autonomic disorders are commonly found in many clinical conditions but sparsly recognized. This clinically oriented meeting will provide clinical guides through autonomic conditions.
